Our Journey:
JSP Handlooms is a brand that is built with strong values and passion towards preserving and continuing the age old handloom making techniques. Its rich family history can be traced back close to 3 decades. Our story unfolds in 17th Oct 1991 when Sri.Jakkula Siva Pullaiah ventured into establishing a manufacturing business in Pedana town in Andhra Pradesh, India, specializing in the production of Kalamkari Printed Fabrics and Handloom Sarees using traditional methods using Natural dyes.His small enterprise flourished, and evolved into a successful Fabric and Handloom sarees business.
In the early days, before the Internet age and Google Maps features, Sri.Siva Pullaiah would each day visit the Fabric retail stores across the country using public transport carrying his suitcases filled to the brim with fabric and handloom saree samples to showcase our products and sell them.
To this date, JSP is a traditional family-run business. We share the same goals and values of treating everyone, from our vendors to our customers, with the love and respect they deserve. We take great care in every step of our manufacturing process: From the design and manufacturing to the employees who place the fabric inside the boxes with love that ends up in your homes.

Our Fabrics
We are the specialists on block-printed by hand, we are using natural dyes and pure, organic cotton. Much of the beauty of our fabrics lies in the subtle color and pattern variations found on every bolt. Imperfections are normal.
Custom Orders
If a pattern is not in stock, we can place a custom order at no additional charge. There is a 5-meter minimum.
Lead times for custom orders vary according to the time of year: October to March 8-12 weeks, April to September 12-16 weeks.
Our fabrics are printed on bolts that range from 5 to 10 meters. If you need more than 10 meters, your order will be printed on multiple bolts with the cuts to be determined by you. For example, an order for 35 meters might be printed on five 7-meter bolts.
Fabric Care
Newly printed fabrics require special care. The first few washings should be done by hand to avoid tinting the background fabric with the excess dye. Each wash releases dye into the water, especially with dark prints of indigo, olive, and madder red. One should avoid releasing too much dye at one time.
Change the water as it becomes colored. Avoid wringing or spinning.
Drip-dry is recommended. Then a hot steam iron may be used.
After the fabric has been washed by hand several times, it can then be machine washed on a gentle cycle and tumble dried.
Use cold water and a minimal amount of natural soap or detergent. Avoid detergents that contain enzymes, bleach, citric acid, or fabric softeners. Avoid detergents that are formulated for wool. Do not dryclean.
